Byron Bay – a magical part of the East Coast of Australia that allows one to channel their inner hippy, as well as an opportunity to rest and relax. Byron Bay truly is a unique place. It has an old school coastal look and feel, but with many modern day resort, cafe’s and shops. It has a large sense of community, where everyone (even if you’re just visiting for the day), feels like they belong.

Upon entering Byron, which is located an hour south of the Gold Coast, there is an instant feeling of calm and relaxation that washes over you. The welcoming coastal vibes, sounds of the sea and warm atmosphere truly allows you to feel like you’ve arrived at the ultimate R&R destination.

Recently, I visited Byron Bay as I was making my way up the East Coast of Australia. Having visited Byron only briefly before, I was very keen to check out the local food, shops and accommodation options, and truly immerse myself in the Byron culture and way of life.

Prior to heading to Byron, I found it quite overwhelming that there were so many places to eat, drink and stay; so I’ve made it easy for you and have put together a stylish guide, as well as some tips and tricks for next time you head to the most eastern point of Australia!
