The Australian brand has been hot on my radar for a number of years, and is a well-known brand to Australia’s fashion pack.
With an array of pieces, which range from casual to evening-wear, swim and resort-wear, and bridesmaids dresses, Shona Joy is a one-stop destination with pieces perfect for pretty much every occasion.
The floaty, flirty and feminine brand, epitomises the Australian way of style, with relaxed, chilled designs, all of which have a touch of edge and individuality, and can be easily styled to your liking.
Although their evening-wear and bridesmaid ranges are more luxurious and are at a slightly higher price point, the designs still have something unpolished and effortless about them, which nails Australian-luxe on the head.
Shona Joy loves playing with fun textures (as seen with the Aruba jumpsuit I’m wearing), lots of ruffles and interesting shapes, which makes peeking through the collections very interesting.
Each season, they tend to create a collection with a few different styles and then replicate them with different patterns, colours and/or materials. This gives you a wide range of choice and is fantastic if you really adore a piece and want to buy it in lots of different colours or patterns.
One thing I really like about Shona Joy, which I see quite often with Australian brands, is that yes, their pieces are unique and unlike anything you’ll find on the high street, but they’re also create timeless designs, which I know I could see myself wearing for years to come.
Although these pieces are a bit more expensive than you’ll find at Zara (sometimes!), they are much more affordable than your designer brands, eg. Gucci, Chanel.
You get luxury and rarity, at a medium price point, which I think is great.
So, if you’re looking for a new brand to add to your style repertoire and/or you want to find a new piece to wear casually, going-out, to a wedding, to the beach, or for your holiday, Shona Joy is the place for you to look.
Let me know what you find!
