Fashionistas, it’s time to get your khaki, beige and animal print out, safari style is roaring with Farfetch this season. I’ve been inspired by the visionary online fashion store’s blogger content pack to create you a piece worthy of LOTS of safari style inspiration!
Safari style is a classic trend that allows you to be really creative and adventurous. Whether you like to get fully into character and wear safari head to toe, or you just like an animal print motive every now and then, you can easily inject this trend into your wardrobe and your everyday style.
To get you over to the wild side, Farfetch and I have created style guides to show why you should get excited about this trend. Farfetch have created a Safari Chic guide, which will let you in on everything from the perfect getaway destination to utility-chic style buys; and I have created four outfits that show you how you can wear safari for any kind of occasion.
Hope you enjoy my fashion lions….get ready to get that reow on!

The Safari Trend Guide
The Safari Outfit Guide
Work:
Inject safari style into your girl boss wardrobe! A white shirt dress is one of the most versatile pieces you can own. Style it with a khaki blazer, tan fringe bag and some heeled sandals, and glitz it up with a statement choker, to be worn underneath the collar. If you wear glasses, a tortoiseshell style will match this outfit perfectly. Bronze your cheeks a little, and voila, say hello to safari girl boss.
Dress – Stella McCartney shirt dress / Blazer – Smythe fitted blazer / Shoes – Paula Cademartori fringe high heel sandals / Bag – Saint Laurent baby sac de jour tote / Glasses – Pantos Paris round adaptable glasses / Choker – Valentino Garavani mask choker necklace / Ring – Maiyet wide feather ring / Contour powder – Becca contour perfector
Casual:
Cross safari with sportsluxe for your casual weekend style. Work a pair of fancy track pants with a cami, a wrap jacket, and super cool ‘tradie’ boots to instantly have an ultra comfortable, yet ultra baben outfit. To add some colour and diversity to the look, add a leopard print scarf and wooden and gold jewels, and give your lids a lick of beige or brown eyeshadow. Don’t forget your quirky crossbody bag too!
Top – Ginger & Smart secret vice cami / Pants – 3.1 Phillip Lim gathered ankle track pants / Jacket – Balmain wrap style front jacket / Shoes – Balmain tia boots / Bag – Charlotte Olympia nostalgia crossbody bag / Scarf – Valentino leopard print scarf / Necklace – Chloe wooden charm necklace / Bracelet – Chloe janis cuff / Eyeshadow – Becca nude eye palette ombre
Dressy:
Go sleek and sexy with a silk khaki jumpsuit to work the safari vibe into your going out look. As the jumpsuit makes such a statement already, you don’t need to go overboard with the colours you team it with. I say stick to black and metallics. Rock the bomber and silk trend (yes you know I love it), and pop a cropped bomber with the jumpsuit. Style with some metallic sandals and a black crocodile effect clutch, then add a gold choker, and a few rings and bangles. Oh and pop on some berry lippy for the finishing touch. Reow reow!
Jumpsuit – Balmain front lace fastening detail jumpsuit / Jacket – Rick Owens cropped bomber jacket / Shoes – Sergio Rossi tamara hill christall sandals / Clutch – Victoria Beckham small crocodile effect clutch / Choker – Lara Bohinc schumacher choker necklace / Bangles – Luis Morais diamond pyramid stud bangle & Eddie Borgo extra thin safety chain bracelet / Rings – Aurelie Bidermann asclepios snake ring, Shaun Leane tusk ring & Wouters & Hendrix gold 18kt yellow gold fine delicate band ring x 3 / Lipstick – Lipstick Queen berry sinner
Holiday:
Go easy breezy with lighter safari colours for your holiday style. The playsuit is the perfect travel companion as it’s so versatile and is so easy to dress up or down. Match with some strappy sandals, a stack of wooden bracelets and a pair of statement earrings, and you’ll be looking hot, hot, hot. Remember to be sun smart and protect yourself with some gorgeous oversized sunglasses, a fedora hat and some fake tan (fake it ’til you make it baby!). Top the outfit off with a colourful tote bag, which will fit in all your necessities for a big day out.
Playsuit – Alice & Olivia belted playsuit / Swimsuit – Lisa Marie Fernandez plaid swimsuit / Shoes – Ritch Erani NYFC alex sandals / Hat – Maison Michel virginie straw fedora hat / Sunglasses – Chloe carlina sunglasses / Figue medium fiji tuk tuk tote / Bracelets – Loree Rodkin carved wood diamond charm bracelet & Loree Rodkin bead diamond hamsa bracelet / Earrings – Erika Cavallini oval drop earrings / Tanner – James Read day body gradual tan
