A quick stay in London

Travel

I’ve had the pleasure of visiting London a few times in the last few months, and every time I go I fall in love with it even more. We are desperate to make the move down there, but in the meantime, I just have to soak up its amazingness when I make quick visits.

If you’re planning to travel to London soon, I’ve put together a few of my favourite spots so you’ll be sure to eat, drink, stay and shop in style.

Places to eat –

The Breakfast Club – Hello pancake mania! I had the best pancakes of my life here. Highly recommend for breakfast, but make sure you get there early, it’s super popular!

Padella – A small Italian restaurant near the Borough Market, with killer pasta, at amazing prices. As a huge Italian food fan, I was very impressed.

Duck & Waffle – I was actually here for an event with Farfetch, so unfortunately didn’t get to try the waffles. However, the set menu we had was absolutely delish, and the view was even better. Definitely going to go back soon to try those waffles though!

For a cheese & wine fix –

Gordon’s Wine Bar – Heaven, just heaven. There’s no words to describe this place, just that it’s pure cheese and wine HEAVEN!

Where to stay –

Citizen M Bankside – Amazing location, really cool rooms, and fantastic lounge and bar area. We loved staying at Citizen M!

Hub by Premier Inn Tower Bridge – A cheaper option than Citizen M, but fabulous all the same. The rooms are pretty tiny, but they are super modern and cool. It’s the perfect place to stay if you just need a comfy bed for the night.

Highlights –

Borough Market – It was so amazing to finally visit the famous Borough Market! This place has so many delicious food and drink stalls, and has numerous first class restaurants around it, you’re seriously spoilt for choice. It’s the best market I’ve been to by far.

Fortnum & Mason – The prettiest shopping place! You can pick up some of the finest food, tea and coffee here, as well as browse through a carefully curated fashion and beauty section. We had tea and cake at the café, and boy of boy it was worth every penny.

Harrods – A visit to Harrods is a no brainer. In my opinion, it’s the best shopping destination in the world. Yes I wish I could afford to shop there (one day!), but it’s just fabulous to spend a few hours walking around gazing at the beautiful designer goods. The food hall is also not to be missed!

Have you been to London before? If so, where are your favourite places to visit?
