I was super excited to be invited to Soho Farmhouse the other week to celebrate and learn more about the vitamin water company, Get More Vitamins.
From pumpkin carving, to practicing yoga, to drinking cocktails out of milk floats, and learning why we all need to ‘get more vitamins, this is what we got up to!
What’s Get More Vitamins?
First of all, I better give you some more information about Get More Vitamins. To be honest, I hadn’t heard much about the brand before, but I’m so excited to have been introduced to them, and I’m now super passionate about what they do!
Created in 2013 by two very inspiring and innovative entrepreneurs, who had years and years of experience in the drinks industry, Get More Vitamins was born after the realisation there was a gap in the market for a delicious tasting healthy drink.
They therefore established a range of still and sparkling vitamin spring waters, which were created to keep your vitamin levels topped up. Low calorie, sugar free and made with natural flavouring, the Get More waters increase your intake of Vitamin A, B, C, D, as well as a mix of vitamins with their multivitamin water. Hello genius!
I’m always a little sceptical about drinking anything else apart from plain water (and wine), and never touch soft drink, or fruit juice (unless it’s been pressed or is fresh), but Get More Vitamins have changed me! Their waters don’t have any nasties in them, are full of goodness and really do taste absolutely delicious!
I love the whole range of waters, but I have to say my ultimate favourites are the Vitamin D water, which is a still water with a flavour of mango and passionfruit, and the Multivitamin flavour, which is sparkling lemon & lime, yum!
Get More Vitamins have done so exceedingly well. They have now sold over 10 million bottles, and are looking to expand worldwide. So it’s not just me who loves them!
Speaking of expansion, Get More Vitamins have also recently launched a multivitamin gum, which is first of it’s kind in the UK.
Coming in spearmint and peppermint flavours, the gum provides 25% of your daily dose of 10 vitamins – B1, B3, B6, B7, B9, B12, C, D, E, K. Yep! What a little miracle worker! Did you ever think there could be an easier way to top up your vitamin levels?!
I don’t normally chew gum, but alas, Get More Vitamins have changed me again!!! I love their gums, and I’ve been popping them left, right and centre. I love that it not only provides me with minty fresh breath, it helps my body too!
The luxurious and very exclusive member’s club, Soho Farmhouse in the Oxfordshire countryside, was our destination for the trip away with Get More Vitamins, and wow, what a destination it was.
A part of the world-wide Soho House group, which was created in 1995 as a home away from home for like minded people, Soho Farmhouse is the most sophisticated, unique and cosy place to work, sleep, eat, drink, relax and play.
Soho Farmhouse has various accommodation types to suit your preference, including cabins, bell tents, cottages, and the Farm House, of which we were lucky to base ourselves for the two days.
Set on it’s own grounds, the Farm House, has seven of the most beautiful typically-English style bedrooms I’ve ever seen. With beds as lush and soft as clouds, ensuite bathrooms paired vintage baths, perfect for bubbles (both kinds – bubble bath & the finest champagne), and a design so cosy, you’d never want to leave your room – the bedrooms are utterly divine.
With a drawing room, lounge, kitchen and dining room, all decorated in a lavish English countryside-esque style, the house is fabulous to runaway to for work trips, and family and friends holidays.
Set on 100 acres of land, Soho Farmhouse, has facilities to make any other hotel blush. Boasting a restaurant, gym, pools, yoga studio, a lake, spa, gift and home boutique, and offering activities like horse riding, cycling, boating and the chance to drive a BMW 13 around the local area, you seriously have no reason to leave….ever.
Throughout our luxurious two days away with Get More Vitamins, we took part in relaxing, autumnal and health-focused activities.
Pumpkin carving – I had never tried pumpkin carving before, but it was so much fun! This really got us into the autumn/winter and halloween spirit.
Yoga – We stretched our bodies and felt super fresh after the most relaxing and (almost a little bit challenging) morning yoga class, which was a mix of Astanga and Vinyasa yoga. I hadn’t tried Astanga yoga before, but I absolutely loved it and will definitely be looking at practicing it more from now on.
Nutritionist talk – We discovered how important vitamins really are for our bodies with a very insightful nutritionist talk. The nutritionist talked us through Vitamins A, B, C and D, and explained how they help us and what foods we can find them in.
Although I have a super healthy vegetarian diet, I realised I’m not actually getting as many vitamins as I really should be, to support my body. The nutritionist inspired me to look into adding more supplements to my diet, including vitamins C, D and B.
One of the most interesting facts she told us, was that in the UK we actually don’t produce any vitamin D over the autumn and winter months (November to February), due to the latitude of the earth. So, it’s super important we try to find it in other ways, such as eating foods such as salmon, butter and egg yolks, taking a supplement, or drinking the Get More Vitamins Vitamin D water (which as I mentioned above, has a delicious flavour of mango and passionfruit!).
Boosting our vitamin D levels reduces the use of antibiotics and helps to support gut health, so it’s an all-round fabulous vitamin, especially over winter!
The food, drinks… & cocktails
We were spoilt for choice with the amazing food and drink we were provided at Soho Farmhouse.
Before we headed to dinner on the first evening, a little vintage milk float arrived at our house with an open bar. Yep, it was a moving milk float bar, hello heaven! The bar tender was a cocktail master and whipped us up any kind of cocktail we desired. I tried the Soho Negroni, which was deliciously but dangerously tasty!
After our before-dinner drinks, we headed to the restaurant, which is like a big, very cool, industrial looking barn. Prim from Style Petal and I shared the mac & cheese, crispy kale salad and green veggies, which was all so good. You could really tell the food was the freshest of produce. To match our meal we sipped on delicious red wine from California. I wish I could remember for the life of me the type we had, as it was too good not to share with you! If I find the name I’ll update the post! 😉
After our beautiful yoga session the morning after, the milk float arrived at our door again. However, this time it wasn’t the bar (they must have thought 9.30am was a little too early to start ;)), it was a breakfast float! With an array of breakfast dishes, including granola, pastries, crepes, English breakfast, fruit salad, you name it, they had it. It was every breakfast lover’s dream! The chef actually cooked the breakfasts in the float too, which was absolutely incredible. Could the service be any better?!
Why I’ll be adding more Vits to my life
We had a fabulously relaxing, calming and indulgent two days at Soho Farmhouse with the Get More Vitamins team. It was the best way to kick off the autumn/winter months and it was incredible to learn so much about Get More Vitamins. Their products really are created to help people live a healthy, vivacious life, full of energy, good skin, a functioning body and a sharp mind.
To be honest, I thought I knew a lot about vitamins before I went on the trip, but I shockingly really didn’t. Since the trip, I’ve started taking daily magnesium, vitamin C, D and B12 supplements, on top of the probiotics I was already taking.
I’ve also been having an extra boost of vitamins by chewing on my Get More Vitamins gum and drinking my Get More Vitamins water.
I’m now feeling super refreshed, healthy and ready to take on the colder months as a strong human being!
Thanks for having me, Get More Vitamins!
