Paris is one of my favourite cities in the world. We visited recently and I couldn’t help but fall in love. I feel so at home in Paris and I would do anything to go back.
It’s not only the food and wine I adore, it’s the culture. Paris has such a cute and romantic vibe, which is so perfect it almost makes you feel like you’re in a movie.
When I travel to places, I never like to rush. I love to take my time walking around cities, exploring and stumbling upon cool areas, shops and cafes. I always try to find out where the locals go, and tend to never take the touristy track.
In Paris, I wanted to really see what it was like to live there. Yes okay, you don’t really know until you do actually make the move, but I wanted to just have a little taste and teaser, if you will.
We booked a beautiful apartment in Montmartre (if you would like me to send you a link to it just let me know!), and it was seriously my dream home. The decor was styled so typically Parisian/French with a minimalistic colour scheme of white and black, vintage accessories and chevron flooring. To top it off, there was one incredibly dreamy balcony, which surrounded the apartment. This was the most romantic spot for croissants and coffee in the morning, and cheese and wine in the evening. Yep, a Parisian apartment like this is what I’m working towards! #GirlBoss
We spent our days walking and walking (we didn’t take public transport once), taking in the sights, the architecture, the beauty, the fashion, the language, and of course searching for aesthetically pleasing photoshoot locations, which as you could imagine, was not at all hard.
Writing this article and looking back over our images has made me want to book tickets to go back as soon as possible. I guess that’s the beauty of now living in the UK. I can totally just pop over there for a weekend, and oh what a weekend it would be.
Paris, you’re a city of love, style, a wonderful way of life, and je t’aime.
Now I’ve got you in the Parisian mood, here are some of the images we captured throughout our stay.
Are you as obsessed with the French way of life as I am? Then you’ll want to read my article How to be a Little More French.
