Must Read Guide for Shopping in Bangkok

Bangkok is one of the best shopping cities I’ve visited in the world. Whatever you’re wanting to shop for, whether it’s Chanel, a quirky market piece, or contemporary pieces from designers you’ve never heard of before, you can certainly find it here in Bangkok!

If you’re planning to take a trip to this wonderful city soon and you love shopping, then this is for you – my ultimate Bangkok shopping guide.

Bangkok City, Thailand

Siam Center

The Siam Center is one of my favourite places to shop in Bangkok. Every time I go I feel like I’ve walked in to a really quirky art gallery. Nearly every shop window display is packed with vibrant fashion. Here you’ll find a huge range of designers you’ve probably never heard of before, mixed in with a few well known ones, like Charles & Keith, my favourite shoe store in Asia.

To get there:

Just get off the train at BTS Siam and you’ll see it.

Siam Paragon

From quirky to designer and high street, right next door to the Siam Center, is Siam Paragon. A shoppers paradise, you’ll find everything from Chloé to H&M here.

To get there:

Just get off the train at BTS Siam and you’ll find it straight away.

MBK Center

A huge indoor market is probably the best way to describe MBK. The centre can be relatively overwhelming, but it’s the best place for items such as cheap electronics, phone covers, phone chargers, sunglasses, fake designer bags etc etc. I found some really cool and very cheap sunglasses here, so it’s definitely worth a look.

To get there:

Just get off the train at BTS Siam and follow the bridge from the station across the road.

The Emporium

A newly refurbished shopping centre, The Emporium is full of class and elegance. This is your go-to place for anything designer, so it’s fabulous for a spot of window shopping. Everything is perfection at The Emporium. Even the ‘Gourmet Market’ supermarket has gold trollies! If you fancy retreating from the Bangkok heat for a bit longer, you could go see a film, like everything else at The Emporium, the cinema is seriously first class.

To get there:

Just get off the train at BTS Phrom Phong.

The Emquartier

Opposite to The Emporium, is a newly opened centre called The Emquartier. From Saint Laurent, Balenciaga, and Rag & Bone, to Zara Home, Victoria’s Secret and Sephora, this shopping centre certainly has every fashion and beauty brand to suit any budget. You can find some delicious restaurants here too including, Roast and Greyhound Cafe.

To get there:

Just get off the train at BTS Phrom Phong and you’ll find the shopping spot opposite to The Emporium.

Check out my article about Roast for more information on the delicious eating spot!

Chatuchak Market

One of the largest markets you’ll find in the world, Chatuchak is amazing. You’ll find so many trinkets, souvenirs and homewares here. Plus, start-up fashion brands also hold pop-up stores at Chatuchak, so you may just find yourself a cute and very cheap outfit here too (just like the little two piece I’m wearing in the header picture). Make sure you keep a whole day free to explore this market, it’s seriously huge!

To get there:

Just get off the train at BTS Mo Chit and follow the crowd!

Terminal 21

Travel to London, Rome, Istanbul, San Fransisco, Tokyo and beyond at Terminal 21. Each level of this unique shopping centre reflects a different city, including the shops and restaurants. Cool hey?! You’ll also find H&M, Nike and The Body Shop here, among many various other stores.

To get there:

Just get off the train at BTS Asoke and you’re right there.

Have you been to Bangkok before? If so, where’s your favourite place to shop? Xx
