That’s right, I’m back in my hometown, Melbourne. But don’t fret, my UK friends, I’ll be back to you in no time.
I’m in Melbourne for a month or so, visiting family and friends. It’s been over 18 months since I’ve been back, so I thought I better pop over to say hello. Not the best timing however, as it’s winter in Melbourne and summer in the UK (and we’ve actually been having a nice UK summer too…typical!).
While I’m in Melbourne, I’ll be checking out the Australian fashion scene. I’ve been a bit switched off from it all since I’ve been living in the UK, but I’ve really missed my unique Australian brands. I’m hoping to find some fabulous pieces so I can introduce you all to how AMAZING Australian fashion is. There are so many independent labels and they need to be on your fashion radar.
I’ll also be eating my way around Melbourne. Since I’ve left, SO many fabulous eating spots have opened. Melbourne has always been known as a foodie’s paradise. Good food and coffee are literally what we’re known for, so it’s not surprising we’re all self-confessed food and coffee snobs. Every cafe and restaurant I’ve come across the last week, all have been soooo #Instaworthy, so I can’t wait to try them out and give you my insider tips on where to go.
Then there’s the wine. Victoria has some incredible wine regions, Yarra Valley and Mornington Peninsula being two of the largest. Many people I chat to over in the UK, don’t realise Victoria has so many lush wineries and vineyards. Australian wine, in my opinion, is some of the best wine in the world, and no I’m not bias! So, get excited for my wine reviews and fun (wine fuelled) Insta stories!
So that’s a bit of a summary of what I’ll be upto while I’m here in Melbourne. I’m hoping to go away for a few nights in Victoria (dreaming of a winery and spa escape), and I also have a lush night planned at a gorgeous hotel in the city, so I’ll be able to bring you some wonderful travel content too.
By the sounds of it I’ll be rolling back the UK with a full belly, a suitcase full of wine, another suitcase full of clothes (I’ll literally have to somehow try to bring another suitcase back with me, and I was already overweight coming here and had to wear about five layers of clothes on the plane and throw out some of my luxe beauty products #lifeofablogger!), and a heart full of love!
