You guessed it, PINK is the hottest fashion colour trend for 2017. Seen on the runways of Hermes, Valentino, Balenciaga, Bottega Veneta, and more, bright, brash and bold pink will give your wardrobe a WOW start to spring/summer.
Embracing head to toe pink is one of the best ways to work the trend. You may be freaked out by the thought of wearing a whole pink outfit, it can be quite out there. But it can work, believe me.
By mixing and matching different shades you’ll decrease the brazen intenseness a pink look can have. For example, have fun styling vivid pinks like fuchsia, hot pink and magenta, with light pinks such as blush, rose and crepe.
Styling this gorgeous cape overlay dress with a bit of luxe, I utilised the magic of other shades of pink/similar to pink, to give the look a bit of depth and excitement. I chose the CUTEST light pink velvet sandals, and a velvet chain strap bag (I know it’s in more of a musk colour, but it’s kind of pinky, right?!), which resulted in a glam, yet not so OTT pink look.
The relaxed silhouette makes the dress super comfy to wear and also allows you to style it in a casual, dressy, or super fashionista way; and the cinched waist (a nod to another 2017 fashion trend), makes the dress uber flattering and gives the look a power woman- esque touch.
What a perfect pretty pink dress, hey?!
Are you ready to join the fashion pack and rock head to toe pink for spring/summer? If it’s not quite your thing, block colour is also another big trend for this year – so why not add pops of bright yellow, blue, orange or red, instead.
